Walt 2016

Loved your place!
Accommodated nine of us easily, even with our three cars and three active grand children.
I particularly loved the location. Two minutes to walk to the bakery every morning for fresh croissants and five minutes to walk to your wine cave.I and my two sons love to cook and were very pleasantly surprised with the roominess and kitchen equipment.
The shopping was convenient with excellent selection. The cheeses! Wow!
Also it seemed like there were fresh fruit stands everywhere. All in All, it was a grand experience for everyone.
I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to get the true flavour of Provence.

My Artful Villa

This is a part of my Artful Villa

Are you wondering what it will be like when you find yourself in the south of France? The pace is certainly different, and it may take a few days before you realize that this rhythm is not at all a bad thing. How can we not feel good when the sky is almost always an intense robin’s egg blue and it is sunny and bright it seems until evening.

Here in spring time Vers cherries have been harvested, and now the apricots have ripened and are most plentiful. You can walk to the square on Saturday morning and find locally grown fresh produce. It is meaningful to me personally to put a face to the person who has grown these vegetables we consume or and made the wines we drink. In that same space in the afternoons, the local gentlemen can often be seen playing games of boules, a favorite pastime. Just off the square my friend Amy has relocated her winery, the established La Gramiere label and is presently in the process of developing a unique space for a wine and tapas bar. One of my pleasures is to meet with friends in late September to head out early morning to pick grapes for her. After a full morning we are awarded Cindy’s marvelous lunch served no less amongst the vines with of course jugs of wine, the comradeship is unique as we come together from, Spain, Germany, all enjoy this experience.

Should you have arrived at the Grange (Artful Villa)  without much of an idea of where to go and what to do, lucky you, this location is perfect. With only 40 minutes of driving, you can visit or see the most incredible places. Try to remember you came for a holiday, not to race around as if you are back in America. Take the time to soak up all that the senses will, breathe and look around you, live in the moment and I am sure your holiday will be a memorable one.
